According to the report released by the Abrinq Foundation - a children's rights advocacy group in Brazil shows more than 40% of infants and youth in Brazil up to 14 years of age live in poverty which represents a total of 17.3 million people nationwide. 

The new study titled “The Scene of Infants and Adolescents in Brazil”, also revealed that of the total number of youth and adolescents living in poverty, 5.8 million, or 13.5%, live in extreme poverty.

The report highlights that Brazil may not meet UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 due to above figures and current progress towards ending poverty.
