According to an assessment carried out by The Economist for the world's most liveable cities, declaring the Austrian capital as the most liveable city for the first time. The 140 cities were assessed based on stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.
Austria's capital Vienna scores 99.1 out of 100. Australia's second most populous city, Melbourne, scored 98.4. The Osaka city in Japan is in third place. Calgary and Sydney are at the 4th and 5th position with 97.5 and 97.4 scores respectively.
Three Canadian and Three Australian cities made the top-10 list. No U.S cities are listed among the world's most liveable cities. Copenhagen is the only European city besides Vienna with 96.8 scores.
