A new survey, released by The Urban Institute says, nearly 7,600 adults that found the various ways Americans are not meeting their basic needs. It includes paying for food, health care, housing, or utilities.
Many Americans are food insecure. With a push to end or reduce the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and the SNAP program for food stamps even with many still struggling.
The share of adults surveyed on different indicators for food security in terms of percentage are:
53.8% - High or Marginal
23.2% - Low
23.0% - Very Low
46.2% - Total food insecure
The adults surveyed where below 150% of Federal Poverty Level.
