A Statista's report on Europe's most accident-prone countries informs, Lithuania has the EU's highest number of fatalities per 100,000 people with 64.7 deaths in 2015. Croatia came second with 56.8 while Latvia rounded off the top-three with 55.2.

France had the highest number of deaths due to accidents in 2015 with just over 28,000 in total. Germany came second with more than 23,000 while Italy had the third-highest total with about 18,500, across the European Union.

According to Eurostat, When it comes to the standardized death rate for accidents per 100,000 inhabitants, the EU had 31.8. The number of deaths due to accident per 100,000 inhabitants in 2015 other than the above-mentioned countries are listed as:
